Here at Pongakawa Hilltop Nursery we are a family owned and operated business established by Esther and Katrina Williams in 2018 situated in rural Pongakawa, Bay of Plenty. We have always had a passion for plants with a large garden and surrounded by native bush that inspired the business idea. Our venture started with a dream to provide good quality native plants bred tough and to make gardening affordable to the average homeowner.

We believe in breeding strong healthy plants sourced locally in the Bay of Plenty area for NZ growing conditions that have been grown outdoors and faced the elements before they are put up for sale so we know they can sustain outdoor conditions in your natural environment.
We ensure all plants have roots appearing out the bottom of their pots before we let them go to public so we know you are going to get a good root structure which means you aren’t going to lose any soil or be set back when you go to plant them! We also ensure the plants are of a decent size in their pots to give you an instant impact.
