We offer painting or sewing weekly, throughout the year, except during January, when we break for the year-end.
We invite professional artists to do tutorials, where they teach us their skills. This can be once or twice a year. We also have an exhibition of painting, sewing, glass art, crafts once a year, where everyone can put in up to 5 pieces of their art or craft. This runs for a week and is a very proud highlight of our year. Most items are for sale. We have an outing once a year, where we socialise, and often go trekking to nearby cities or towns to have some fun and sometimes see other people’s creations. We have a Christmas party too, which is always fun. It is not about how good you are at art or sewing, but about having fun.
New members are always welcome. To become a member, just come along and join in. Bring your own art or sewing materials. We learn from each other, except when there are tutors. There are some spare art materials at the Gallery if you just want to try it out. Subs are set for 2022, at $60 if paid before the end of March, or $65 if paid after that. You can join sewing or painting or both. One subscription pays for both clubs.
