Join our small clean-up army and help us keep Te Puke litter-free. We have big goals to work on specific problematic areas and monthly local clean-ups.
Spearheaded by Te Puke local Craig Wallace, Keep Te Puke Beautiful is dedicated to tackling litter and restoring pride in the town’s natural beauty.
Craig’s journey started with picking up a few stray pieces of rubbish near his home, but with a fast-food outlet, a high school, and a cricket field nearby, he quickly realised the scale of the issue. Over a 15-hour period, he collected enough discarded cans to fill a 240-litre recycling bin – a stark reminder of the impact of littering.
“It’s amazing how much of a difference one person can make, but imagine what we could achieve together as a community,” says Craig. “I’d love for more locals to join me in keeping Te Puke beautiful – every small action adds up to a big impact.”
