Hi I’m Judy Robinson
I have volunteered at Waipuna Hospice Shop in Te Puke for nearly 6 months. I found myself with a couple of hours to spare so thought what better place to spend them! I really like how organised and structured my time is here and I feel very valued . I also like the varied jobs I get to do. Sometimes I put Bric a Brac out into the shop, cleaning as I go and I like that the next time I might be pricing and Quality checking the clothing. I like that Catherine (the Manager) is flexible in the hours and days I can give. So if I can’t come in on a Thursday I can swap to another day. The team I work with on my shift are friendly and it’s a brilliant way to spend a couple of hours.
I have personal interest in Waipuna Hospice as they did a pretty fantastic job of caring for people I have known.
Give it a try! It’s rewarding and fun.
