Community members, business owners, organisations and local leaders gathered at The Daily recently for a special launch event hosted by EPIC Te Puke to celebrate the relaunch of Te Puke Online and learn more about EPIC’s new Supporter Programme.

Developed by local web design company Seed Studio, the revitalised Te Puke Online platform has been created to make it easier than ever for locals to connect with their community, share information and discover what’s happening around Te Puke.

Completely free to use, Te Puke Online is a community hub built by locals, for locals.

The platform allows businesses, organisations, schools, clubs, charities and community groups to create a free account and manage their own content. Users can promote their business or organisation, share upcoming events, publish community news, advertise job vacancies and recruit volunteers through one simple platform.

Speaking at the launch event, EPIC Te Puke Chairperson Janine Gartner said the goal was to create a central place where people could easily find out what was happening in the community while making it simple for organisations to share information.

“We’re trying to create a place where you can see everything happening in the community,” she said.

The refreshed platform was developed following feedback from local businesses, organisations, sports clubs and community groups who wanted an easier way to connect with local audiences and share information.

Another key benefit of Te Puke Online is its connection to EPIC Te Puke’s extensive communication channels. Content submitted to the platform is shared through EPIC’s monthly Community and Business newsletters, helping local organisations and businesses reach thousands of subscribers throughout the wider Te Puke area.

The new website also replaces the previous Te Puke Online app, providing a more user-friendly experience and additional functionality for both users and administrators.

Getting started is simple. Visit www.tepukeonline.co.nz, click the “Get Involved” button and register for your free account. Once registered, users can begin creating listings and sharing content with the community.

Visitors to the site are also encouraged to sign up for the free Community Newsletter and Business Newsletter to stay informed about local news, events, opportunities and community happenings.

Introducing the EPIC Supporter Programme

The launch event also provided an opportunity for EPIC Te Puke to introduce its new Supporter Programme.

EPIC Te Puke is a not-for-profit organisation behind many of the free events, promotions and community initiatives enjoyed throughout the year, including the Easter Art Trail, Spring Clean, Halloween Treat Trail, Christmas Float Parade, Town Summit and Te Puke Online.

The new Supporter Programme has been developed to give individuals, businesses and organisations the opportunity to directly support the ongoing work of EPIC Te Puke and help ensure these community initiatives continue to thrive.

Supporters can choose from a range of support levels, with options suitable for both individuals and businesses.

“Whether you’re contributing as an individual, a small business or a larger organisation, every supporter plays an important role in helping us continue creating opportunities for connection, celebration and community pride,” said Janine.

Anyone interested in learning more about becoming an EPIC Supporter can download a prospectus EPIC Supporters Brochure 2026  or contact the EPIC Te Puke team at admin@epictepuke.co.nz.
